6/9 Topic I: Gay Unions Shed Light on Gender in Marriage

As we know, there are so many diverse family structures nowadays, including heterosexual family, homosexual relationship, and domestic partnership, etc. What kinds of impact do you think the various relationships despite the traditional one having made on us? What so feel about the monogamy in our daily life? Is it really the best choice in terms of marriage?

In the middle of June, 2008, California was going to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples and reignited the national debate over gay marriage. Despite law viewpoint, in the beginning of the main article, the author mentioned about “a growing body of evidence shows that same-sex couples have a great deal to teach everyone else about marriage and relationships.” When it comes to housework, sex and money, those common causes of marital strife, I can't help wondering if there is a better way for us to lead our lives?
