When I saw the title of Pei-Lun's article, I said "No! Did we chose the same issue for the meeting?! " to myself. After reading her introduction, I realized they are not the same. A close call.
The link below is the article I picked up for our discussion.
As I know, formally, wiretaps were only used in espionage activities or for military purposes years ago, and I seldom hear about eavesdropping which really happens in Taiwan. (Of course, they might happen a lot without my awareness...^^")
What's your opinions about using wiretaps in terms of national security or just for the convenience to get informations in other countries far away from us?
Is there a need to set a limitation for wiretaps using or you think it's ok to use them even for entertainment?
Do we have to draw a line for eavesdropping, or should government get involve in wiretap application? will it violate our privacies one day?
Where is the line between national benefits and people's privacies?
We will talk more about this issue on whenever we meet~^^
