Dear all,
This is Summer. Great to see you guys all last Tuesday.
Every generation has its own core culture and shares a specific experience that people from different generations may find weird or strange. Following is the article by Time Magazine about the issue: “Top 10 Things Today's Kids Will Never Experience”
Full List
KIDS THESE DAYS
• Camera Film
• Landline Phones
• Real Books
• Being Lost
• Music Videos on MTV
• Walkmans
• The Glory Days of Nick at Nite
• Tan M&Ms
• Czechoslovakia
• Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator
We will discuss the topics below.
1. What, in the list, or not in the list, reminds you of your childhood and you find it pity that children nowadays or in the near future may not have the chance to experience it?
2. Is there anything existing in your childhood but gradually fading away? However, you would like to make an effort to save it for your future child.
3. Have you already felt shocked by the difference between the lifestyle of children nowadays and that while you were little?
4. What seems to be impossible or incomprehensible to us that you believe will soon become children's daily life.
5. What are the pros and cons of the childhood in the old time and in the future? Which kind of childhood would you prefer if you were able to choose?
See you on Tuesday
Summer

Hi Summer,
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting such a wonderful topic. Because I can't make it next Tuesday, I will just say that I would love to leave the item "real books" to my kids.
Furthermore, I am amazed at how children are good at using touch-panels these days.
Best, Corrine
