Dear all,
This week I would like to share a video from TED about why works are not done in the office.
I know some of us do not have work experience, so just think about your experience in study, school clubs or part-time jobs.
The video is about 15 mins, and quite interesting I think.
We will discuss the following questions
1. Where do you work/study most efficiently? What are the features in that place?
2. What's the pros and cons do you think about working at home and in the cubicle?
3. How long can you concentrate on work/study? How often are you interrupted? Can you get rid of these interruptions?
4. Do you agree that work, just like sleep, is stage-based?
5. The speaker suggests communication by email or IM; some think it's more efficient and direct to communicate through phones, and there are less misunderstanding. What's your thought?
6. The third suggestion is to cancel the next meeting. Do you believe people will get their job done without managers's constant supervision?
7. What pushes you to work/study? Responsibility, money, sense of achievement, interest or other reasons?
See you on Tuesday.
