How to live to be 100+

Dear All,

This week I've selected a TED talk for everyone to practice our listening skills and also to have an in-depth look into the topic about living healthy, longevity, happiness and life's worth.

To find the path to long life and health, Dan Buettner and team study the world's "Blue Zones," communities whose elders live with vim and vigor to record-setting age. At TED, he shares the 9 common diet and lifestyle habits that keep them spry past age 100.

Please click onto the link below and spend 20 mins listening to the speech, you may switch off the Eng subtitles if you wish to practice your listening. Dr Buettner's pronunciation is very clear so it should be quite easy for you.

We'll discuss the following questions:

1. What are some of the myths you've heard before about eating healthily? Do you take supplements? Is vegetarian better?

2. What do you think about the people in Sardinia? What makes them live long and healthy? How about people in Okinawa?

3. Do you know anyone around you that lives/ lived a long life? What is the key factor?

4. What is your "ikigai" of life?

5. Do you think you belong to the right tribe? How's that?
