7/7 Topic I : Is Any Job Better Than No Job?

Unemployment has been a spotlight issue over the past few years when the world saw its worst economic crisis since the WW2. Up till now, many of the freshly graduated tantalize over the fact whether they could find themselves jobs long before they step outside the school's umbrella of protection. While some demand a job that delivers promises, others just ask to have a job that pays. Following is an issue in debate which I found in NY Times archive:

Is Any Job Better Than No Job?

Some experts suggest those who are looking for jobs should take any opportunity they come across, some ask why can't they take the time they need to find better offers. I can't help but thinking of the much-debated government-subsidized 22K internship project for the newly graduated in Taiwan and the fact that the average starting wages for the newly graduated has lowered when compared to those of a couple years ago. I would like to know how you perceive these issues. Which side do you take? What do you think about the 22K project which has been targeted and is supposed to help college graduates ease in the job market? Does it really help shore up our economy and encourage employment or does it simply hurt our economy and diminish those who are involved in the project?
